Ingredients:

  • 2 quarts ground meat
  • 1 quart ground apple
  • 1 lb currants
  • 1/2 lb red cherries
  • 1 1/2 cups molasses
  • 5 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 3 tbsp cinnamon
  • 3 tbsp allspice
  • 3 tbsp cloves
  • 3 tbsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup beef suet or 1/2 cup butter

Directions:

  1. Bring to a real good boil on a slow heat stirring constantly.
  2. Cook for about 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally, making sure it doesn't stick - so very good!
