Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Directions:

  1. Cream the butter and brown sugar.
  2. Add eggs and flavorings.
  3. Sift dry ingredients together.
  4. Then add dry ingredients gradually.
  5. Drop two inches apart on greased cookie sheet.
  6. (Optional variation: Frost with rich chocolate frosting and place 1/2 walnut or pecan on top).
  7. Bake 10-12 minutes at 350 1/2°F.
