Louisiana Butter Pecan Coffee Cake

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups sifted all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/3 cup soft butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • topping
  • 2 tbsp soft butter
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar , packed
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
  2. Sift first 4 ingredients together
  3. Add butter, egg and milk
  4. Beat well, about 2 minutes
  5. Pour into greased & floured 9inch square pan
  6. Blend topping ingredients and sprinkle over cake mixture
  7. Bake for 30 - 45 minutes or when cake tests done
