Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup margarine
  • 1 large egg
  • 4 cups flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp allspice

Directions:

  1. Combine honey, molasses and margarine in a large pan and warm together over low heat. Allow to cool and add in one egg (slightly beaten).
  2. Sift dry ingredients together. Add the molasses mixture slowly, then cool dough for 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
  3. Take 1/4 of the dough at a time and roll into 3/4 inch wide logrolls and cut into small cylinders, then roll these pieces into 3/4 inch balls.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees for 13-15 minutes.
