Ingredients:

  • 2 large onions
  • 4 tbsp oil
  • 2 tsp savory
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp paprika

Directions:

  1. Bring the lentils into water to boil, remove from heat, drain and throw away the first water.
  2. Bring the lentils to boil in 2 liters of water.
  3. Put 5-6 sliced garlic gloves and finely chopped 1 onion into the pot.
  4. Boil until the lentils is tender.
  5. While boiling the lentils with the garlic and onion, heat the oil and simmer the second finely chopped onion.
  6. Add the salt and paprika, continue simmer until the onion is tender.
  7. Add the tomatoes and simmer for 5 more minutes.
  8. Mix the tomatoes mixture with the lentils. Add the savory and turn down the heat. Mince the garlic and add to the cooked stew. It may be hot in taste.
