Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 tsp. plus 6 tbsp. butter, divided
  • 2 packages (10 to 12 oz. each) vanilla or white chips
  • 1 1/2-3 tsp. lemon extract (depending on your taste)
  • a few drops of yellow food coloring

Directions:

  1. Line a 9-in. square pan with foil.
  2. Grease foil with 1 1/2 tsp. butter; set aside.
  3. In a large saucepan, melt remaining butter over low heat.
  4. Add chips and milk; cook and stir for 10-12 minutes or unti chips are melted.
  5. Stir in marshmallow creme and extract; cook and stir 3-4 minutes longer or until smooth.
  6. Pour into prepared pan.
  7. Chill until set.
  8. Using foil, lift fudge out of pan.
  9. Discard foil; cut fudge into squares.
  10. Store in the refrigerator.
  11. Yield: about 2 lbs.
