Ingredients:

  • 2-1/2 cups flour
  • 1-1/2 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 tbsp dry milk
  • 1 tbsp oil

Directions:

  1. Combine the liquid and dry ingredients.
  2. Stir until smooth.
  3. Knead about 8 times.
  4. Let rest for 10 minutes.
  5. Form in to 8 balls,flatten to about 10 .
  6. Make hole in center of each round.
  7. Lightly flour,stack and cover.
  8. Heat oil in skillet.
  9. Cook one at a time for about 2 minutes on each side.
  10. Drain,and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
  11. The Indian legend is that the hole is put in the center of the bread to allow the evil spirits out.
