Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 (3-oz) package jell-o , any flavour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp vanilla
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350F, lightly grease a cookie sheet.
  2. Cream shortening, sugar, Jell - O and egg together in a medium to large bowl.
  3. Beat in the rest of the ingredients.
  4. Roll dough into balls, and flatten each with a fork (like for PB cookies).
  5. Bake 8-10 minutes. Cool on sheets 2 minutes, remove to racks to cool completetely.
