Indescribably Delicious Banana Bread

Ingredients:

  • 6 tbsp butter
  • 5 tbsp milk
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 4 tbsp buttermilk
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Cream butter and sugar.
  3. Mash bananas, beat 2 eggs and add to bananas with vanilla and butter milk.
  4. Mix well and add to creamed butter and sugar.
  5. Sift together flour, soda and salt.
  6. Add to banana mixture; beat well.
  7. Pour into 2 greased and floured 9 x 5 loaf pans.
  8. Bake 45-50 minutes until bread pulls away from sides of pan.
  9. Cool.
  10. Prepare topping: Melt butter in sauce pan.
  11. Add sugar and milk.
  12. Cook until very syrupy about 10 minutes.
  13. Remove fron heat and add chopped pecans.
  14. Pour over bread, spreading to all corners and place under broiler til brown and bubbly.
