Iced Green Tea Limeade

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups water
  • zest strips of 1 lime (green part only no white pith)
  • 4 individual bags green tea bags
  • 1/2 cup fresh lime juice (about 4-6 limes)

Directions:

  1. Fill a medium sized saucepan with the water. Add the tea bags and over medium-high heat, bring the water to a boil. Just as the brew comes to a rolling boil, turn off the heat and cover for 5 minutes. Remove the tea bags.
  2. Add the sugar and zest stips. Stir until sugar is dissolved.
  3. Allow the mixture to cool.
  4. Remove the lime zest and pour into a pitcher. Stir in the fresh lime juice.
  5. Serve over ice.
