Hot & Spicy Mixed Nuts

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp water
  • 1 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 tsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp allspice
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/8 tsp white pepper
  • 1/8 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 1/3 cups pecan halves
  • 1 1/3 cups whole almonds
  • 1 1/3 cups walnuts

Directions:

  1. Heat oven to 250 degrees.
  2. In medium bowl beat egg and water at high speed til stiff.
  3. In small bowl combine melted butter, all spices, salt and peppers. Mix well.
  4. Add nuts to egg mixture. Stir to coat well.
  5. Add 1/2 spice mixture to nuts. Stir to coat.
  6. Add remaining spice mixture. Stir till evenly coated.
  7. Spread nuts evenly on cookie sheet that has been covered with aluminum foil.
  8. Bake in oven for 1 hour. Stir every 15 minutes.
  9. Remove from oven. Cool well before storing.
