Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 300 degrees.
  2. Butter and flour a 9-by-5-inch loaf pan.
  3. Set aside.
  4. Combine the flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg in a medium bowl; set aside.
  5. Cream the butter with and sugar in the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment.
  6. Add the eggs and dry ingredients on medium low speed.
  7. Add the milk.
  8. Combine the baking soda and molasses; add to the batter.
  9. Add the raisins, pecans and bourbon.
  10. Pour it into the prepared pan.
  11. Transfer to the oven and bake until set, about 2 hours.
  12. Transfer to a rack to cool slightly.
  13. Store tightly wrapped in plastic.
