Honey Peach Cobbler

Ingredients:

  • 2/3 cup. honey
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 tbsps. butter
  • 1 cup. all-pourpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsps. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3 tbsps. shortening
  • 1/2 cup. milk
  • 1 tbsp. sugar

Directions:

  1. Place peach halves in individual baking cups.
  2. Pour honey over each, sprinkle with nutmeg and cinnamon and dot with butter.
  3. Make crust by mixing sugar and flour.
  4. Cut in shortening, then add milk to make soft dough.
  5. Divide into six parts and drop on fruit.
  6. Bake at 425 for 25 minutes.
  7. Invert on dessert plate and serve with hard sauce.
  8. Six servings.
