Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1/3 cup raisins or mixed fruit
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 3/4 cup milk

Directions:

  1. 1- In a large mixing bowl combine flours, sugar, baking powder, salt and nutmeg. Cut in butter until mixture is consistency of cornmeal.
  2. 2- Add raisins or mixed fruit
  3. 3- In a med bowl combine potatoes, whole egg, yolk and milk, whisk until it is smooth with no lumps.
  4. 4- make a well in dry ingredients and add the liquids all at once. stir with fork to make soft slightly sticky dough. ( you can add a touch more milk if need be)
  5. 5- kneed gently on powdered surface about 6 times and roll dough out for 1/2inch thickness and cut into triangular shapes
  6. 6- place on ungreased cookie sheet and brush with slightly beaten egg yolk and sprinkle with sugar
  7. 7- bake at 450F for 13-15min or until golden and enjoy :)
