Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. When preparing the pastry dough, add the cheese, paprika and cayenne pepper before adding the liquid. Roll out half of the pastry and fit it in a 9 inch pie pan.
  2. In a skillet brown the beef. Drain the fat off and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet using a 1/2 teaspoon butter sauté onion until limp; add to beef. Make sure the beef is well broken apart.
  4. In a large bowl, add the bread crumbs, beef and onion. Add enough broth to moisten the bread crumbs and let stand a few minutes. Make sure you put in enough broth to moisten the bread crumbs or it will be dry. Mix well and add to the pie shell.
  5. Roll out the remaining pastry and put it over the top, crimping edges and cutting a few slits to let the steam vent.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F for about 45 minutes.
  7. Serve hot, warm or cold.
