Ingredients:

  • 1 bag of frozen peas
  • 3 large onions
  • 50 g' butter (please! no margarine)
  • 2 liters of water
  • optional
  • 2 sticks of celery
  • 2 tsp of ground nutmeg. (by us this is a must)
  • black pepper according to taste
  • 1 tsp of ground bayleaves

Directions:

  1. Slice onions
  2. Wipe the tears away
  3. Melt butter in the pot
  4. Turn on the stove first! It heats up quicker.
  5. Fry the onions (just for a minute or two). You don't need a pan for this one. it will just mean something else to wash afterwards
  6. Answer the phone and tell them your'e busy.
  7. Add everything else and bring to the boil.
  8. There's the phone again! Just let it ring.
  9. Turn the heat down to low.
  10. After about an hour, turn off the heat and let it cool down for a while.
  11. Blend with hand-blender
  12. Reheat before serving. (Wasn't that obvious ?)
  13. May be frozen and then thawed and heated as needed. (That's what we do)
  14. Don't forget the croutons
  15. OH! That damn phone
