Grandma's Christmas Cake

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 4 cups coarsly diced peeled apples
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp corn syrup
  • 4 tbsp cream

Directions:

  1. Mix sugar, oil, eggs, Vanilla, apples, nuts, and raisins.
  2. Mix well and add flour, salt, soda and cinnamon.
  3. Pour into a 9x12 greased+ floured pan.
  4. Bake at 350 for 1 hour.
  5. Frosting Glaze: mix butter, sugar, corn syrup, cream and CARDAMOM.
  6. Bring to boil/remove from heat and spread on cake after cake is cool.
