Grandma Sloop's Simple and Smooth Marinara Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1 (64 oz) can tomato juice
  • 6 crushed garlic cloves or 6 spoonfulls of minced garlic
  • 1 (8 oz) can tomato paste

Directions:

  1. Pour tomato juice into small stockpot.
  2. Add garlic.
  3. Bring sauce to a boil.
  4. Turn down to medium, and simmer for about 1 hour, stirring occosionally.
  5. Add can of tomato paste and continue cooking until paste is blended in with sauce and sauce has thickened.
  6. Serve over spaghetti, enjoy!
  7. Optional: add 1 1/2 lb. browned ground beef or meatballs.
  8. Recipe can be doubled or tripled and frozen.
