Ingredients:

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Directions:

  1. Cream sugar & shortening.
  2. Beat in eggs, one at at a time.
  3. Fold in flour on low.
  4. Add vanilla.
  5. Bake 1 1/4 hrs at 325 F in a tube pan.
