Ingredients:

  • 1 package sugar cookie mix - i used duncan hines golden sugar cookie mix
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tblsp light molasses
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground gimger
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup finely chopped pecans

Directions:

  1. Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees
  2. Grease cookie sheets
  3. Combine, cookie mix, egg, water, molasses, ginger, cinnamon & soda in a large bowl
  4. Stir & mix until thoroughly blended
  5. Place the 1/4 cup of sugar in a small bowl
  6. Form about 1 level tblsp of dough into a ball a roll in sugar to completely cover. Repeat with the rest of the dough
  7. Place about 2 inches apart on prepared cookie sheets
  8. Flatten lightly with the bottom of a drinking glass
  9. Brush cookies lightly with milk
  10. Sprinkle each with pecans
  11. Bake 9 mins for chewy cookies & 10 mins for crisp cookies
  12. Cool 3 mins on cookie sheets & then move to wire racks to cool completely
  13. Store in airtight container
