Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter , 2 sticks
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 3/4 cups flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 2 1/4 tsp baking powder

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar for about 3 minutes. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Mix the milk and vanilla together. Mix the flour, salt, and baking powder together. Add the flour and milk mixture into the egg mixture, alternating between the two.
  3. Pour into greased cupcake tins and bake for 20-22 minutes. Let cupcakes cool for 10 minutes before removing them from the pan.
