Ghanaian Fruit Gimlet

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Fill 6 red wine glasses half full with equal portions of balls or squares of the fruit.
  2. Sprinkle each with 1/2 tsp crystallized ginger.
  3. Pour 1 Tbs gin and 1 Tbs lime juice over the fruit and ginger.
  4. Sprinkle each with 1 Tbs brown sugar.
  5. Refrigerate before serving.
  6. Right before serving, add slices of banana.
  7. Garnish each with a sprig of mint.
  8. Serve well-chilled.
  9. If no crystallized ginger is available. Substitute with 3 tsp powdered ginger. Simply sprinkle each serving with 1/2 tsp powdered ginger.
