Ingredients:

  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/4 tea. baking soda
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 tea. pure vanilla extract
  • 1 tea. pure almond extract
  • frosting
  • 4 tab. unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 2 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar

Directions:

  1. Heat oven to 350*
  2. Grease and flour a 10 tube pan (set aside)
  3. In large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar well, until very light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. In another bowl, mix flour, soda and salt.
  5. Combine sour cream and peaches in separate bowl.
  6. Alternately, add flour and peach mixtures to creamed butter sugar blend, beginning and ending with flour.
  7. Beat well after each addition.
  8. Stir in vanilla and almond extracts.
  9. Pour batter into prepared pan.
  10. Bake 75 to 80 minutes or until cake tests done
  11. Cool slightly and remove from pan
  12. Icing:
  13. Boil all ingredients in a saucepan for 4 minutes. Punch holes in cake with a fork. Spoon frosting over cake
