Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 1 1/4 cups flour
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 1/4 cups brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp corn syrup

Directions:

  1. Cream margarine, sugar, egg and beat, Add milk.
  2. Sift dry ingredients and add to creamed ingredients.
  3. Next add vanilla and walnuts.
  4. Pour into 8x8-inch baking pan. Bake in 35F oven for 30 minutes.
  5. Cool Completely on wire rack.
  6. FROSTING:.
  7. Mix ingredients together and cook in a saucepan for five minutes. Remove fron stove and beat until it thickens. Spread on squares.
