Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Bring water and salt to a boil stir in grits cook till done-follow pkg. directions
  2. Remove from heat
  3. Add bacon and 1 tbs. butter stir till butter melts
  4. Pour grits into a greased 81/2-x 41/2-x3 inch loaf pan
  5. Cool refrigerate and cover overnite
  6. Remove grits from pan cut loaf into slices
  7. Melt remaining 1/4 cup butter in large killet fry slices over medium heat 5-7 minues or till lightly brown turn once
  8. Yeilds 8 servings
