Fruit With Amaretto Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups of sliced fruit or berries
  • 2 tbsp of amaretto liqueur
  • 1/4 cup of confectioner's sugar
  • 1 pckage of cream cheese
  • 1/2 lb about 1 cup of ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
  • 2 egg yolks from pastuerized eggs
  • 2 tbsp of whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup of amaretto
  • 1 tbsp of lemon juice

Directions:

  1. Caution raw egg yolk in recipe. Use pastuerized eggs-only.
  2. Not for the elderly or for children or those with compromised immune systems
  3. Fruit: Toss fruit with liqueur and sugar, chill until serving time.
  4. Sauce: In a blender or food processor, mix cream cheese with ricotta.
  5. Beat egg yolks with sugar and lemon juice until light and frothy.
  6. Add to cheese mixture along with cream and liqueur.
  7. Blend until smooth.
  8. Chill.
  9. Serve chilled fruit with cream sauce spooned over top.
