Directions:

  1. In a bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the flour, oats, extracts and salt; mix well.
  2. Roll out dough to 1/4-in thickness. Cut with a 3-in. heart-shaped cookie cutter; place on ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 350° for 12-15 minutes. Spread warm cookies with candy coating; cool. Decorate with icing if desired. Yield: 3-1/2 dozen.
