Frosted Mocha Brownies

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 1/4 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 4 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 1/3 cup baking cocoa
  • 2 tsp vanilla

Directions:

  1. In a saucepan over low heat, melt the chocolate and butter; stir until smooth.
  2. Remove from the heat and add sugar.
  3. Mix well and add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.
  4. Stir in vanilla.
  5. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt; add to the chocolate mixture until just combined.
  6. Pour into a greased 9x13x2-inch baking pan and bake at 375°F for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
  7. Cool on a wire rack.
  8. Combine frosting ingredients and stir until smooth.
  9. Frost brownies.
