Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup shortening
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 cup milk

Directions:

  1. Sift together flour baking powder and salt.
  2. Cut in the shortening.
  3. Mix egg and milk together, then stir into flour mixture.
  4. Mix well, and pour batter into a greased oblong pan.
  5. Cover with peach slices.
  6. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
  7. Bake in 350 degree oven for 35 minutes.
