Directions:

  1. Directions
  2. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  3. For the crust: In a food processor, combine the confectioners' sugar, flour, and butter, and process until the mixture forms a ball. With your fingers, press the dough into a 12-inch tart pan with a removable bottom, taking care to push the crust into the indentations in the sides. Pat until the crust is even. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until very lightly browned. Set aside to cool.
  4. For the filling and topping: Beat the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla together until smooth. Spread over the cooled crust. Cut the strawberries into 1/4-inch slices and arrange around the edge of the crust. For the next circle, use kiwi slices. Add another circle of strawberries, filling in any spaces with blueberries. Cluster the raspberries in the center of the tart.
  5. For the glaze: Combine the limeade, cornstarch, lime juice, and sugar in a small saucepan and cook over medium heat until clear and thick, about 2 minutes. Let cool. With a pastry brush, glaze the entire tart. You will not use all of the glaze.
  6. Keep the tart in the refrigerator. Remove about 15 minutes before serving. Slice into 8 wedges and serve with a dollop of whipped cream.
  7. This is the hard way to make a fresh fruit. Let me give you the short cuts I have used.Y'all know I would have to find an easy way, I have made it this way but to make a lot of tarts for a large group it needs to be faster ( this recipe serves 8). The dough can be a already made tart dough.
  8. You can also buy cookie dough in the rolls and spread it out to make a tart crust.
  9. You can use pizza dough , but you will have to sprinkle sugar on it, you really need a sweet dough.
  10. For the filling I have used pudding (your choice I like vanilla), I have used canned frosting ( your choice I like vanilla or cream cheese) You could also use a light coat of cool whip.
  11. The topping I used naturally sweet fruit, peaches, kiwi, pineapple and berries.
  12. If you have to sweeten the fruit you can slice it and roll in sugar. But if you use my quick glace you wont need to sweeten the fruit.
  13. The glace I use is a simple syrup. Its a cup water and a cup sugar cook until it dissolves and is easy to brush on the fruit while it is on tart, You can flavor the syrup with vanilla or other flavors or leave it plain. Then garnish with cool whip or if serving quickly ice cream can work.
  14. That's my short cuts and they work, try them.
