Ingredients:

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 cup crisco
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp real vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp milk

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350m degrees.
  2. Grease cookie sheet.
  3. Sift dry ingredients - flour, salt and soda together.
  4. In a large bowl, cream butter, Crisco and sugar until light and fluffy.
  5. Add egg and vanilla.
  6. Beat in dry ingredients until smooth.
  7. Blend in milk.
  8. Drop by Tablespoon onto cookie sheet.
  9. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned.
  10. Cool slightly on rack, and remove from pan.
  11. Makes about 3 dozen (36) cookies.
