Double Peanut Butter Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups sifted flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1 tbsp milk

Directions:

  1. Combine flour,sugar,baking soda, and salt.
  2. Cut shortening and peanut butter into flour mix. until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Blend corn syrup and milk into mix. with an electric beater.
  4. Shape the mixture into a roll 2 inches in diameter; chill for 45 minute.
  5. Slice roll 1/8 in - 1/4 inches thick.
  6. Place the half slices onto ungreased cookie sheet, spread with peanut butter.
  7. Cover with remaining slices, and seal the edges with a fork.
  8. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 12 minutes, or until browned.
