Double Frosted Bourbon Brownies

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Combine first 3 ingredients in a medium bowl. Stir well and set aside.
  2. Combine sugar,butter and water in a saucepan over medium heat.
  3. Bring to a boil,stirring constantly.
  4. Remove from heat and add chocolate chips and vanilla. Stir until smooth.
  5. Add eggs one at a time,stirring after each addition.
  6. Add flour mixture and nuts. Stir until well combined.
  7. Spoon batter into a greased 9 square baking pan.
  8. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Do not overbake.
  9. Sprinkle bourbon evenly over warm brownies and cool completely in pan.
  10. White Frosting:
  11. Combine butter and vanilla in a large mixing bowl. Beat at medium speed until creamy. Gradually add sugar.
  12. Continue beating until smooth.
  13. Spread over cooled brownies.
  14. Glaze:
  15. Combine chocolate chips and shortening a small saucepan over medium low heat. Stir until melted and combined.
  16. Pour over frosting layer.
  17. Let brownies stand at room temperature until glaze is set.
  18. Cut into large or small squares.
