Double Frosted Bourbon Brownies

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Combine the first 3 ingredients in medium bowl; set aside.
  2. Combine the sugar, shortening, and water in medium saucepan.
  3. Bring to a boil over medium heat stirring constantly.
  4. Once it boils, remove from heat, add the chocolate morsels and the vanilla, stirring until smooth.
  5. Add the eggs one at a time, stirring after each addition.
  6. Stir in the flour mixture and walnuts; stir well.
  7. Spoon into 9-inch square pan. Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.
  8. Sprinkle bourbon evenly over the warm brownies.
  9. Cool completely in pan.
  10. Spread the white frosting on the brownies and pour warm chocolate glaze over the icing. Let stand until set. Cut into squares.
  11. WHITE FROSTING: Combine the butter and vanilla in large mixing bowl. Beat at medium speed with mixer until creamy. Gradually add the sugar and beat until smooth.
  12. CHOCOLATE GLAZE: Combine the chocolate morsels and shortening in top of double broiler. Bring the water to a boil. Reduce heat to low and cook until chocolate morsels melt, stirring occasionally.
