Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup hot water
  • 2 1/4 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 (3 1/2 oz) jar bacon bits
  • 1 tbsp packed brown sugar
  • 1 egg

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
  2. In a medium bowl, dissolve boullon in the hot water.
  3. Add remaining ingredients, stirring until well blended.
  4. On a lightly floured surface, use a floured rolling pin to roll out dough to 1/8 inch thickness.
  5. Use a bone shaped cookie cutter to cut out dough.
  6. Transfer to a greased cookie sheet.
  7. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until firm.
  8. Transfer to a rack to cool completely.
  9. Store in an airtight container.
