Deep Dish Pepperoni Pizza

Ingredients:

  • 1 (1/4 oz) package yeast
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1 3/4-2 cups flour
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp basil
  • 1 tsp marjoram
  • 1/2 tsp garlic salt
  • 1/2 tsp onion salt
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1/2 lb pepperoni slice

Directions:

  1. Mix yeast in water, add 1 cup flour, oil, and seasonings, beat until smooth.
  2. Add more flour until you have a soft dough.
  3. Turn out onto floured surface.
  4. Knead until smooth and elastic, about 6 minutes.
  5. Place in greased bowl; turn to coat; and let rise for 1 hour.
  6. Punch down; roll into 15 in circle.
  7. Place in deep 12 in oven proof skillet.
  8. Spoon on sauce.
  9. Add Half the mozzarella, half the pepperoni, and half the parmesan.
  10. Repeat layers.
  11. Fold crust to form a rim.
  12. Bake at 400 degrees F for about 20-25 minutes, until cheese is bubbly and crust is brown.
