Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup butter or margerine
  • 11/2 cup flour
  • 3/4 cup hot water
  • 1 (500g) pint pitted dates
  • 11/2 cup quick oats
  • 1/8 tsp salt

Directions:

  1. Combine dates hot water and b sugar in a sauce pan until dates are soft and water is absorbed add lemon juice let cool combine dry ingredients in a bowl add butter and cut with knife until crumbly spread 1/2 of mix in bottom of well greased pat down. cover with date mix and then rest of topping bake 375 degree oven
