Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Place frozen peas in a large pot.
  2. Add the butter or margarine
  3. Cover with liquid of choice.
  4. Heat and stir over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil
  5. Meanwhile dissolve the cornstarch and sugar in the cold cream
  6. Then add to the hot peas anbd cook and stir over medium heat till thick ened
  7. Remove from heat because once thick, do not overcook the peas or they change their bright bright green color
  8. Stir in the chives and season to taste with salt, pepper and nutmeg
