Cream Cheese Pecan Crescents

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup finely chopped pecans
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 1-1/2 tsp cinnamon

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Combine butter and cream cheese then mix until well blended.
  3. Combine flour and salt then add to cheese mixture and mix well.
  4. Roll dough into eight balls and wrap each in plastic wrap then chill at least two hours.
  5. Roll each chilled ball into an eight inch circle on lightly floured wax paper or countertop.
  6. Cut into eight wedges then combine pecans, sugar, nutmeg and cinnamon.
  7. Sprinkle 1/4 teaspoon of spice nut mixture over each wedge.
  8. Starting at wide edge of dough roll up each wedge.
  9. Shape ends toward each other forming a crescent.
  10. Place point side down on ungreased cookie sheet and bake 12 minutes.
