Ingredients:

  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup milk

Directions:

  1. Combine dry ingredients together in bowl.
  2. Add egg, milk, and shortening. Stir lightly.
  3. Pour into well-greased 9 square pan.
  4. Bake 425°F for 20-25 minutes.
