Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 dash nutmeg

Directions:

  1. Heat oven to 350*.
  2. In large bowl, combine eggs, sugar, salt and vanilla; blend well.
  3. Gradually stir in milk.
  4. Pour into 6 ungreased 6-oz.
  5. Custard cups.
  6. (If desired, pour mixture into 1 qt. casserole dish.) Sprinkle with nutmeg.
  7. Place custard cups in 13x9 inch pan.
  8. Pour boiling water into pan around custard cups to a depth of 1 inch.
  9. Bake at 350* for 45 to 55 minutes or until knife inserted near center comes out clean.
  10. Serve warm or cold.
  11. Store in refrigerator.
