Clove Lemonade Base

Ingredients:

  • 1 pint water
  • 1 1/2 cups lemon juice
  • 1 tsp whole cloves
  • 2 cups sugar

Directions:

  1. Mix ingredients, bring slowly to the boiling point, and boil for 2 minutes.
  2. Cool and strain.
  3. Use 3 Tbls of this mixture for each 8 oz.
  4. Glass, filling glass with water and ice.
  5. May be kept indefinitely in the refrigerator.
  6. Mint or lemon slices may be added.
