Ingredients:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine cake and pudding mixes, oil, water and eggs; mix well.
  2. Pour into a greased and floured 13-in. x 9-in. x 2-in. baking pan.
  3. Bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
  4. Cool for 10 minutes; invert onto a wire rack to cool completely.
  5. In a small saucepan, combine flour and milk until smooth.
  6. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened.
  7. Cool.
  8. In a mixing bowl, cream the butter, shortening, sugar and vanilla; beat in.
  9. Milk mixture until sugar is dissolved, about 5 minutes.
  10. Split cake into two horizontal layers. Spread filling over the bottom layer; cover with top layer.
  11. Cut into serving-size pieces.
  12. Freeze in an airtight container for up to 1 month.
  13. Remove from freezer 1 hour before serving. Yield: 12-18 servings.
