Ingredients:

  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 2/3 cup of melted shortening
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 2/3 cups flour
  • 2 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 (12 oz) package chocolate chips

Directions:

  1. Pre heat oven to 350, grease a 9x13 pan.
  2. Mix sugar and shortening together.
  3. Beat in eggs 1 at a time.
  4. Sift flour, baking powder and salt.
  5. Add to creamed mixture.
  6. Mix in chocolate chips and nuts.
  7. Spread in pan and bake until top is golden brown, usually about 35 minutes, depending on your oven.
