Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Fry bacon, remove and chop. Saute onion and garlic in olive oil. Stir in ground beef and cook until brown. Drain fat. Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer until thick (about 1 hour). Thicken with some corn meal mixed with water if neccessary. Remove the bay leaves before serving.
  2. Serve with bowls of raw chopped Vidalia onions, shredded cheese, and plain boiled macaroni.
