Ingredients:

  • 4 cups water
  • 2 1/2 tsp basil
  • 1/2 lb small onion
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1/4 tsp parsley
  • 1/4 tsp celery powder

Directions:

  1. Place chicken in water in large saucepan. Add salt, pepper, basil,.
  2. Bay leaf and garlic.
  3. Bring to boil. Lower heat and simmer slowly for 1/2 hour or until.
  4. Chicken is tender.
  5. Remove chicken from pan. Cool and carefully skim fat from surface of.
  6. Soup. Bring.
  7. Soup to a boil and add onions, carrots, parsley and celery, simmer.
  8. Gently for 10 minutes.
