Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup butter or 1/3 cup margarine
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup peanuts

Directions:

  1. Combine butter, honey, vanilla, salt, and peanut butter in a saucepan and heat, stirring to blend.
  2. Combine oats, rice cereal, coconut, and peanuts in an 8-by-8-inch baking pan.
  3. Pour honey mixture over dry ingredients, mixing until thoroughly coated.
  4. Pack firmly into pan and bake at 350° for 15 to 20 minutes.
  5. Cool and cut into 16 bars.
  6. Note: I have substituted chocolate chips for peanuts with good results.
