Ingredients:

  1. Scald milk and cool to lukewarm. Soften yeast in lukewarm water.
  2. In a large mixer bowl, combine sugar, butter, garlic salt and 2 cups flour. Add cooled milk and softened milk to dry ingredients.
  3. Blend at low speed until ingredients are mixed, then increase to medium speed and beat for 2 minutes. Stir in remaining flour by hand, blending well.
  4. Cover bowl with a damp cloth. Let dough rise in a warm place 30 minutes or until doubled in bulk. Beat down for 1 minute.
  5. Turn dough into a well-greased 1 1/2 quart round baking pan or casserole. Combine egg white and water, whip together slightly. Brush top of dough with mixture. sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  6. Bake in a 375ºF oven to 55 to 60 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Cover with foil to prevent excessive browning. Cool several minutes before removing from the pan.
  8. Serve warm.
