Ingredients:

  • 2 cup. brown sugar
  • 2 cup.sifted flour
  • 1/2 cup. butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup. sour milk
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp each: cinnamon

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Mix sugar,flour and butter together until crumbly.
  3. Divide crumbs into 2 bowls: 3/4 for batter and 1/4 for topping.
  4. Add well-beaten egg to 3/4 mixture.
  5. Pour into greased and floured pan.
  6. Sprinkle remaining 1/4 mixture on top.
  7. Bake for approx. 25-30 minutes.
  8. Serve warm.
