  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 2 1/2 cups oatmeal
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter

  1. In a heavy cooking pot, melt peanut butter and butter over medium heat.
  2. When melted, pour in milk and add the sugar and cocoa; stir mixture continuously.
  3. Allow mixture to come to a full boil, keeping heat at medium level.
  4. Allow mixture to boil for 1 full minute, stirring often.
  5. After 1 minute, remove from heat and stir in uncooked oatmeal.
  6. Let sit for a few minutes, stirring occasionally so that the oats soften.
  7. Before the mixture cools, drop spoonfuls onto waxed paper to cool and harden (if you can chill them, they will set faster).
  8. Makes 36 servings.
